ආශිර්වාද පූජා '23

හෙට දවසේ සොදුරු ලොවක් තනන්නට ඉනිමං බඳිනා ගම්පහ ලියෝ නාගරික සමාජයේ නායකයන් වන අපි නැවුම් ඇරඹුමක සුබ බලාපොරොත්තු සමඟින් තවත් පියවරක් ඉදිරියට තැබුවෙමු.ආගම දහමට ඇති ලැදියාව ද අපට නිතැතින්ම උරුම වූවකි.

ගම්පහ නාගරික ලියෝ සමාජයේ අපි නව වසරක ආරම්භය සනිටුහන් කරමින් පළමුව ඉදිගොල්ල ශාන්ත ජූඩ් දෙවුමැදුරේදී ආගමික වතාවත් සිදුකර දෙවියන්වහන්සේගේ ආශිර්වාදය ලබාගතිමු.

අනතුරුව මැදගම ජයසුන්දරාරාම විහාරස්ථානය වෙත ගොස් ධාතු මන්දිර  පූජාව මෙන්ම ගිලන්පස පූජාවක් සිදුකර ත්‍රිවිධ රත්නයේ ආශිර්වාදය ලබාගත්තේමු.

එමෙන්ම විහාරස්ථාන පුණ්‍ය භූමියේදී සඳුන් පැළයක් රෝපණය කර දළුලා වැඩෙන නැවුම් ඇරඹුමට සොබා මාතාවගේ සුබ ප්‍රාර්ථනාවන්ද එක්කර ගතිමු.

මේ වසරේදීත් සමාජීය වගකීම් හඳුනාගමින් හා නායකත්ව ගුණාංග ඔපමට්ටම් කරගනිමින් වැඩදායී ලියෝ නායකයන් ලෙස කටයුතු කිරීම අපේ ඒකායන පැතුමයි.

The objective of the "Years of Excellence" past president recognition ceremony organized by the Leo Club of Gampaha Metro was multifaceted. Firstly, it aimed to honor and appreciate the invaluable contributions of past presidents to the club's growth and success. Secondly, the event sought to foster a sense of gratitude and unity among current members by recognizing the legacy left by past leaders. Additionally, the ceremony aimed to provide an opportunity for past and present members to connect, share experiences, and strengthen the bonds within the Leo Club community. Furthermore, the event aimed to inspire current members to uphold the club's values of service and leadership, thereby motivating them to continue making a positive impact in their community. Overall, the objective was to celebrate the achievements of past presidents while reinforcing the commitment to service and leadership within the Leo Club of Gampaha Metro.

On February 17th, Leos and non-Leos joined forces for a beach cleanup at Besama and Prithipura beaches. From 8:30 am to 1:30 pm, volunteers cleared debris, delivering collected garbage to the Municipal Council. This united effort showcases community dedication to environmental stewardship and responsible waste disposal. 

"සංකල්පනා," organized by the Leo Club of Gampaha Metro, was a Sinhala literary competition aimed at celebrating creativity and the richness of the Sinhala language. The project provided a platform for aspiring writers to showcase their talents by submitting original short stories and poetry. Through "සංකල්පනා," participants had the opportunity to express their thoughts, emotions, and unique perspectives, promoting both literary excellence and a deeper connection to the cultural heritage of Sinhala literature. 

"Lightographia," organized by the Leo Club of Gampaha Metro, was a dynamic project featuring a series of webinars on photography, coupled with an exciting photography competition. The webinars, led by expert photographers, covered various aspects of photography—from technical skills to creative expression—aiming to educate and inspire budding photographers. The competition invited participants to showcase their talents by capturing captivating images, encouraging creativity and a deeper appreciation for the art of photography. "Lightographia" provided a platform for learning, growth, and artistic expression within the photography community. 

We the Leo Club of Gampaha Metro are here to open the doors for a successful education leading to a successful life to the little blooming flower buds that paused with a question mark at a children's home, 

We have already started to provide them with ordinary level education, in all subjects with a heart full of love. We are also supporting you with education materials, books, pens, pencils, and such by being a pillar of strength to these little blooming flower buds. We, the Leo Club of Gampaha Metro plan to give a strong foundation to you through this "Beyond Athwala" project.

Children are the future of a country. Children are the treasure of a country.

We will be the light to the children, striving to win life, during the prevailing difficulties in the country.
